KILL THE DRAGON. GET THE GIRL.

This is what it all boils down to.

The story of the Bible is pretty simple, all things considered. There's a Hero (Christ), a villain (Satan), and a bride to win (the Church). From the very beginning, God has promised to send a Savior to crush the head of the enemy (Genesis 3:15), so that He could win His bride, the Church, to Himself (Revelation 19:7-10). And lo and behold, Christ has come. The dragon's head has been cut off and the marriage feast is being prepared. Christ is ruling now, His enemies continually being made a footstool for Him (1 Corinthians 15:25-26, Psalm 110:1).

As we await the day of final restoration, when the last words are uttered and the book is closed with a "happily ever after" (Revelation 22:17-21), we find ourselves daily struggling against the remaining forces of darkness, who have not quite gotten the memo that they've lost. The underlings of the Enemy may not have grasped that it's over, but we have. Christ is King. He is ruling with all authority in heaven and on earth. So it looks like we've got some dragons to kill.
Let's get to work.
